Miltenberg, a picturesque town on the Main in Lower Franconia, Bavaria, is an ideal destination for a relaxing weekend trip. The city offers a charming old town with half-timbered houses, an impressive castle and beautiful surroundings that are ideal for hiking and cycling.

Getting there:

Miltenberg is easily accessible by car, train or bus. It takes around 1 hour by car from Frankfurt and around 45 minutes from Würzburg.

Overnight stay:

There is a variety of accommodation in Miltenberg, from hotels and inns to holiday apartments. I was at the campsite, right in Miltenberg.
